The Endless Ikea

The session opens in the Ikea where the party had made a narrow escape to the showroom floor.

Nathan gloves his hand quickly after swiping the lamp from before, he drips blood. Circeth lends him her staff to help him sit down. Circeth listens around to judge if there are any other animated pieces of furniture that are on the prowl. They see one of Cir's heads pop up and sniff the air. They find something and says they need to move to it.

They move as a group, Usagi helps him. As they travel, they pass by more furniture which hasn't been animated yet. They make their way to a cafeteria. Circeth continues feeling around for other people in the area, but still find nothing.

The group find a menu for various designer foods. Circeth and Usagi hear some shuffling nearby. They follow and hear some shuffling, and some piano as well. Circeth doesn't notice any effects of a charm in the music. The shuffling is closer than the piano.

Circeth continues to approach, hearing the sound of someone digging through storage boxes. A large, poorly loxodon jump back as Circeth makes themselves known. The boxes are for food supply. The Loxodon mentions a large person who was large, climbing up walls and more. Circeth tells the loxodon it may be better if he comes with the group as things are dangerous.

Circeth returns, taking the loxodon with them. He introduces himself as Bardlebee. Usagi mentions she feels tired as Bardlebee comments, saying Nathan looks beat up.

The group gets settled in until the group is interrupted by Cir, who is grinding coffee beans very aggressively. The left and right head are instructing the middle head and eventually, they form a perfect cup of coffee and hands it to Nathan, who manages to heal him.

Nathan asks to know where Cir works so he can get more later.

Circeth asks the loxodon if he heard the piano, he responds he hasn't heard it. Circeth finds it odd but mentions she heard it too. The group looks over to where Circeth heard the sound and saw an auto piano. Usagi approaches, curious. Circeth performs a ritual cast of Detect Magic.

Usagi, standing a little too close to the piano sees the piano open its lid, revealing a row of jagged wooden teeth which try to bite down on her, which she narrowly escapes. She screams to let the party know of the piano, and they all enter combat.

During the fight, Usagi's arm gets caught in the piano's maw and she is grappled. As they continue fighting, the group hears the ground rumbling.

The crew eventually wittle down the piano and Circeth deals the final blow, rotting the wood and infecting it with spores.

The group heads to the cafeteria again and begin the barricade the place off. As they start, a giant Blahaj crashes through the shelves between isles, only for a streak to slice through it, sending stuffing flying everywhere. Katrina hangs onto the side of the plush shark, her greatsword embedded into it.

They all meet up and discuss how they all got to the cafeteria. Katrina mentions she came from the showroom floor. The others mention they came from the pick-up area, but upon turning around, the place has changed.

Cir sniffs out a new direction, the group debates hunkering down or moving with. They opt to move.

As they move, Circeth is distracted by a pristine gardening exhibit which she approaches, and begins laying spores in. She's so invested that she cuts her freshest mushrooms and plants them.

Nathan is momentarily distracted by a fully complete workstation, but doesn't fall into it.

Eventually the group make it to a long line of checkout lanes, behind them is the exit. Circeth and Nathan continue forward. Usagi looks left, right then left again, and upon looking left again, is met with the man who helped everyone out before, but he appears much more undead. He apologizes for not being able to help her find anything, and tells them to search again. Circeth opts to run. Multiple copies of the man appear, falling out of windows, rising from the checkout lanes and all, approaching in to try and capture the group.

Usagi and Nathan dash up to help the party move forward. Katrina and Cir attack to kill some of the men. One attack makes it through, but Circeth's chilled touch completely freezes it.

Usagi uses burning hands to burn through a cone of the men, clearing the way. Nathan takes this clear and advances. Circeth covers the groups' 6 and keeps the men off the party. Cir grabs a display and throws it, killing two more. Katrina does the same and kills another two. Two of the men manage to get hits in, and strike at Nathan and Circeth. Both hitting.

Usagi blasts another burning hands to clear a path, and she escapes. Nathan, about to hold his ground to try and help the rest is told off by Circeth, who -- with the most emotion and venom in their voice, tells Nathan to leave. Cir has an idea and throws Circeth outside.

As the trio make it outside, they note everything is normal. They don't see the swarm of men through the doors. Katrina and Cir are stuck inside.

They hear a thumping outside, it's the loxodon, who seems angry to note that they survived. Nathan takes a shot at the loxodon as he insults them, saying they should have died. The loxodon casts shield and deflects Nathan's shot.

Cir and Katrina break out of the doors, but are injured. Circeth walks up to the loxodon and offers a hand. He tosses a token in the air, which prepares a teleport spell...but it fizzles.

Circeth's hand meets the loxodon's and she grapples him. Katrina approaches and grabs his tusk, twisting it out of place.

The group closes in on the loxodon and the teleport goes off. The token remains, it's an EZToken. And it's made known that the token was responsible for the effects in the Ikea. The group keeps the token and heads back to the mall. Cir stays behind and says their farewell as he's met by a woman with salmon pink hair.

Katrina drives them off to an antique mall which resells furniture.
